In a twist to the fairy tale, the Huntsman ordered to take Snow White into the woods to be killed winds up becoming her protector and mentor in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen.
Snow White & the Huntsman is a 2012 British-American action fantasy film based on the German fairy tale "Snow White" by the Brothers Grimm, directed by Rupert Sanders and written by Evan Daugherty, John Lee Hancock and Hossein Amini.
STORY
Snow White is the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen. Unable to tolerate the insult to her vanity, the evil queen decides that Snow White must die. The queen sends a huntsman to kill Snow White. However the huntsman finds himself unable to murder the innocent young woman, and instead ends up training her to become a warrior capable of threatening the queen's reign.

Outside North America, Snow White & the Huntsman had an opening of $39.3 million, ranking second overall for the weekend behind Men in Black 3, however, it ranked #1 in 30 countries.
